ServeFest 2008: West Houston Charter School

400+ volunteers representing 8 churches

140 gallons of paint and primer used to paint over 27,000 sq ft of walls

275 feet of chain link fencing

62 - 80 pound bags of concrete

300 feet of new drainage system including a catch basin to resolve standing water issues

56 custom-made book cases and computer desks

New landscape design for the courtyard area under the trees

5 outside picnic benches and 3 seating benches in the courtyard

35 yards of bark mulch

50 foot wall with a secure door for the parent-teacher area

12 cork boards for hallways

Replace the pea gravel around the swings and play area

Add 4 windows in doors

Repair student lockers

Repair restroom doors

Repair and replace tables and table tops

Power wash the entire building and campus walkways.

Trim plants in front of administration building

Clean teacher areas, classrooms and commons

Help organize and prepare for the school year to begin

All completed with God’s love and a servants heart guiding the way.
